KVKK privacy notice

Controller and contact

Oğuzhan Altuner is the QuestGlass operator and data controller for account, profile, social, safety, and support processing described here. KVKK requests can be sent to support@questglass.com with the account email or username. The legally valid geographic contact address and any required representative or VERBIS details have not yet been published; public launch remains blocked until they are confirmed and added here.

Personal data categories

• Account data: email, authentication provider, username, display name, full date of birth stored in the private profile for age verification, account settings, and login/security records.
• Profile and social data: photo, bio, languages, interests, travel dates, public role, connections, activity settings, notes, posts, comments, likes, quests, meetups, reports, and blocks.
• Communication data: direct messages, group/quest messages, reactions, attachments, reports, support requests, and notification data.
• Location and route data: foreground location when permission is granted, manual area selections, route starts, temporary location shares, nearby discovery shares, and place searches.
• Device and technical data: device/browser details, IP address, logs, rate limits, abuse signals, upload metadata, push tokens, and staff-access audit logs.

Purposes and legal bases

We process data to create accounts, operate profiles, maps, routes, quests, meetups, chat, reports, notifications, media uploads, safety moderation, abuse prevention, support, legal compliance, and service security. Account-essential processing may rely on contract performance. Safety, security, fraud prevention, moderation, reports, debugging, and legal claims may rely on legitimate interest, legal obligation, or establishment, exercise, or protection of a right where available. Optional location sharing, marketing notifications, and non-essential cookies or analytics use separate consent where required. Chat translation is not offered in this release.

Recipient groups

Data may be shared with other users according to your actions and visibility settings, authorized staff and moderators, cloud hosting and database providers, authentication providers, media storage and moderation providers, push notification providers, map/search providers, email/support providers, app-store platforms, payment providers if paid features are introduced, professional advisers, and public authorities where legally required. Chat text is not sent to a translation provider in this release. Contact support@questglass.com for the current recipient list.

International transfers

Firebase/Google, Cloudflare, Expo, Apple, Google Play, media-moderation, map/search, and email/support providers may process data outside Turkey. Depending on the provider and destination, a transfer may use an adequacy decision where available, a Board-published standard contract, binding corporate rules, a written commitment with Board approval, or another lawful KVKK Article 9 mechanism. Chat translation is disabled in this release. Contact support@questglass.com to request current provider and transfer details.

Rights and requests

You may request information about processing, access, correction, deletion or anonymization, objection to results created against you, notice to recipients where applicable, and other rights available under KVKK. QuestGlass answers qualifying requests within the applicable legal timeline after identity verification.

Retention

Account and profile data are kept while the account is active. Temporary location shares are designed to expire quickly. Reports, audit logs, safety records, deletion records, fraud/security logs, legal holds, and backups may be retained longer where needed for safety, disputes, legal obligations, or proof of deletion/anonymization.
