QuestGlass Terms of Service
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Oğuzhan Altuner, operating QuestGlass, governing every use of the QuestGlass applications, websites, and services. By creating an account, signing in, browsing, messaging, uploading content, or joining quests and meetups, you accept these Terms, our Community Guidelines, and the policies referenced here. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Important: these Terms include disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity obligations, and dispute-resolution rules, while preserving rights and forums that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You are responsible for your account and activity
- Abuse, fraud, harassment, and dangerous conduct are prohibited
- Mandatory consumer rights and legally available courts or regulators are not restricted
1. Eligibility and account security
- You must be at least 18 years old to use QuestGlass.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your email address current.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password and devices secure.
- You may not create accounts for someone else, impersonate another person, or evade a ban.
2. What QuestGlass provides
QuestGlass provides social travel features including maps, quests, route planning, chat, profiles, notes, uploaded media, reports, and meetup tools. QuestGlass is not an emergency service, travel agency, licensed tour operator, transportation provider, marketplace escrow, medical provider, legal adviser, or financial adviser. We may change, pause, remove, or limit features when needed for safety, security, maintenance, legal compliance, or product improvement.
3. User content and license
You keep ownership of photos, messages, profile information, quests, notes, reports, and other content you submit. You give QuestGlass a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, process, resize, translate, display, transmit, publish, analyze, moderate, and create technical derivatives of that content as needed to operate, secure, improve, enforce, and promote the service. This license continues only as needed for content you shared with others, cached copies, backups, safety records, legal holds, moderation records, or evidence of abuse. Do not upload content unless you have the rights and consent needed to share it.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, shame, or discriminate against other people.
- Do not post illegal content, sexual content involving minors, private information, malware, spam, scams, fake guide claims, or deceptive pricing.
- Do not scrape, reverse engineer, overload, bypass access controls, or interfere with the app, Firebase, Cloudflare, map services, or other infrastructure.
- Do not use QuestGlass to organize unsafe, unlawful, or non-consensual activity.
5. Real-world risk and user interactions
You are responsible for your own travel choices, routes, purchases, meetups, chats, and in-person interactions. You understand that public places, transportation, weather, crowds, crime, scams, inaccurate information, user conduct, and off-platform payments involve real-world risk. QuestGlass does not guarantee that users are safe, verified, qualified, licensed, available, truthful, or acting lawfully. Always use your judgment, meet in public places, protect personal information, and verify important details independently.
6. Places, maps, guides, and routes
Routes, transit estimates, walking directions, map pins, local prices, opening hours, nearby place results, guide labels, rankings, and recommendations are informational only and may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, unavailable, or outdated. QuestGlass does not promise that a restaurant, pharmacy, ATM, attraction, guide, route, or public area is open, safe, lawful to access, accessible, affordable, or suitable for you.
7. Safety reports and moderation
We may review reports, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, or contact relevant authorities when we believe it is needed to protect users, comply with law, prevent abuse, or enforce these Terms. We are not required to publish every moderation reason or warning before action.
8. Paid features
Plus Membership and other paid features are not currently sold unless a checkout page or app-store purchase screen shows the price, billing period, renewal terms, cancellation method, and refund rules before purchase. Free or manually granted features do not create a right to future free access.
9. Third-party services
The app may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, maps, analytics, storage, push notifications, media processing, and payments. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices. QuestGlass is not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent allowed by law, QuestGlass is provided as is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free routes, verified users, safe meetups, successful connections, exact prices, exact travel times, accurate place data, availability of paid features, or that every unsafe user, unsafe location, scam, or item of content will be detected. You use the service at your own risk.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, QuestGlass and its operators, directors, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, personal travel losses, missed transportation, failed meetups, user conduct, scams, off-platform transactions, third-party services, or inaccurate routes, places, prices, or availability. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid QuestGlass in the previous 12 months or 100 USD. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where prohibited by law, or non-waivable consumer rights.
12. Indemnity
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold QuestGlass and its operators, contractors, service providers, and affiliates harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, fines, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your conduct, your meetups, your off-platform transactions, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your infringement of another person's rights, or your misuse of the service. This does not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.
13. Dispute resolution
- Before filing a claim, you agree to email support@questglass.com with your account email, a description of the dispute, and the relief requested. The parties will try to resolve the dispute informally for 45 days, unless urgent injunctive relief, safety issues, or applicable law require faster action.
- These Terms do not impose a pre-dispute binding-arbitration requirement. A dispute may be brought before a court, regulator, consumer body, mediation route, or other forum that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
- Nothing in this section removes urgent injunctive relief, small-claims procedures, consumer arbitration committees, regulatory complaints, intellectual-property remedies, collective remedies, or other rights and forums that cannot legally be waived.
14. Regional and non-waivable rights
Some rights cannot be waived by contract. Nothing in these Terms limits rights under KVKK, Turkish consumer law, EU or UK consumer law, app-store rules, payment-provider rules, privacy laws, or other mandatory laws that apply to you. If a provision is found unenforceable for a user or dispute, the rest of these Terms remains in effect to the fullest extent allowed by law.
15. Intellectual property complaints
We respect intellectual property rights and expect the same from members. If you believe content on QuestGlass infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, send a notice to support@questglass.com identifying the work, the allegedly infringing material and its location in the service, your contact details, a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, and a statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for one. We may remove or disable access to identified material, notify the uploader, accept counter-notices where the law provides for them, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
16. Service availability and modifications
QuestGlass is provided as an evolving service. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, quests, integrations, or the service itself, in whole or in part, at any time. We aim for high availability but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not liable for downtime, data-synchronization delays, third-party outages, or force-majeure events including natural disasters, network failures, hosting or platform provider actions, government actions, or events beyond our reasonable control. Where a change materially reduces paid functionality, remedies for paid users are described in the Refund Policy and mandatory consumer law.
17. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for others, used the app unlawfully, or caused security or operational harm.
18. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms when the product, law, or safety needs change. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. The service operator is Oğuzhan Altuner, operating QuestGlass. Questions and formal service communications can be sent to support@questglass.com. The legally valid geographic service address remains a release gate and will be published before public launch.
