Explicit consent choices

This page explains optional processing that may need explicit consent under KVKK, GDPR/UK GDPR, ePrivacy rules, or app-store privacy expectations. Consent is separate from accepting the Terms and separate from the KVKK obligation to inform. You can use core app features without optional GPS sharing, marketing notifications, or non-essential cookies. Chat translation is not offered in this release.

EU/UK consent standard

For EEA, EU, and UK users, consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. QuestGlass uses a clear affirmative action for optional processing. Pre-ticked boxes, silence, inactivity, or simply continuing to use the app do not count as consent. Withdrawing consent is designed to be as easy as giving it.

Location consent

When you tap a location feature, QuestGlass may ask for foreground location to center the map, rank nearby quests or places, start route guidance, share a temporary chat map link, or share an approximate nearby area. You can deny permission and enter an area manually instead. Temporary sharing can be stopped or expires automatically.

Cross-border transfer consent

Some optional processing may involve providers outside Turkey, the EEA, or the UK, including cloud hosting, media moderation, maps, notifications, and app-store services. This consent text is not a blanket approval for routine foreign processing. Chat translation is disabled in this release.

Limited exceptional transfers

QuestGlass does not enable an optional feature that repeatedly transfers personal data internationally without an approved safeguard. For a genuinely limited exceptional transfer where the law permits consent, QuestGlass presents a separate explanation of recipient group, purpose, data categories, destination risks, and the withdrawal route before asking for consent.

Chat translation

Chat translation is not available in this release, and QuestGlass does not send selected message text to a translation provider.

Marketing notifications

Transactional notifications, such as messages and safety updates, are separate from promotional notifications. Promotional push or email messages are sent only when a user has opted in and can withdraw that choice.

Withdrawal

You can withdraw optional consent by changing device permissions, turning off notifications, closing location sharing, clearing non-essential cookies where available, or contacting support@questglass.com.
